What does it mean to stay grounded when everything around you feels like it is shifting?
In this episode of The Crystal Library, Ashleigh explores aragonite, a stone associated with grounding, patience, emotional balance, surrender, and staying connected to your center during periods of change.
Aragonite is especially known for its striking starburst formations, with crystal points radiating outward in every direction from one central core. That structure becomes the perfect metaphor for this episode: life can feel busy, uncertain, expansive, and even chaotic, while you still remain anchored to yourself.
Ashleigh also dives into the geology of aragonite, its relationship to calcite, its famous “sputnik” formations, and the different varieties of the stone, including blue, green, white, and golden forms. From there, the conversation moves into the deeper themes aragonite brings up around control, overworking, responsibility, emotional regulation, and learning when to act versus when to surrender.
This episode also explores why aragonite feels especially relevant during the liminal season between Mabon and Samhain, when the veil is said to feel thinner and spiritual practices like divination, shadow work, dreamwork, and ancestor connection often move closer to the surface.
At its core, this is an episode about finding your center when life is moving in every direction.
